SHTE® 1230 is a clean agent gaseous fire suppression system manufactured by Safety Hi-Tech Europe. It is specifically engineered to protect high-value, sensitive assets where water-based systems would cause catastrophic damage.
The system utilizes the chemical agent FK-5-1-12 (historically known under 3M's brand name Novec 1230). It is stored as a liquid but rapidly discharges as a gas, absorbing heat to extinguish fires within 10 seconds without leaving any residue behind.
